The Opportunity
Trane Technologies is hiring an ESG Reporting Analyst to develop and manage ESG reporting processes, support regulatory compliance and improve ESG data management across the organisation.
Reporting to the ESG External Reporting Leader, the successful candidate will work with business and functional leaders, including the Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability (CEES), to strengthen ESG disclosures, address regulatory requirements and maintain consistent external messaging.
The role follows a hybrid working arrangement. Employees work onsite Monday through Thursday, while Fridays offer flexibility to choose their work location based on business requirements.
What You'll Do
ESG Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
- Support projects required to meet new regulatory requirements for external ESG reporting.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to identify and close gaps in existing ESG disclosures.
- Monitor ESG regulations and reporting requirements across global markets.
- Research regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on existing reporting requirements.
- Document regulatory changes and educate relevant stakeholders on their implications.
ESG Data & Reporting Systems
- Implement new reporting tools to improve ESG reporting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the development and improvement of ESG data management processes.
- Collaborate with internal audit, CEES, functional teams and external partners to strengthen ESG data controls.
Materiality & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead the annual double materiality assessment process.
- Work across the organisation to understand how business activities, products and processes relate to ESG metrics and disclosure requirements.
- Help align ESG disclosures with external messaging and regulatory expectations.
- Develop actionable solutions to reporting and data management challenges.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, ESG or a related field.
- Understanding of external reporting standards.
- Knowledge of ESG or sustainability standards and reporting frameworks is preferred.
- Understanding of reporting systems, processes and control frameworks.
- Proficiency with data management and analytics tools.
