The Opportunity
PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk is seeking an ESG Strategy & Reporting Supervisor to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company's ESG strategy and sustainability reporting.
The role is suited to a sustainability professional who understands how to translate ESG strategy into measurable programs, reliable performance data and credible corporate disclosures.
You will work across functions and stakeholders to strengthen ESG performance, improve the quality of sustainability data and contribute to reporting aligned with relevant ESG frameworks and stakeholder expectations.
What You'll Do
ESG Strategy
Support the development and implementation of Merdeka's ESG and sustainability strategy, roadmap, targets and initiatives.
Monitor ESG performance against established targets and identify areas requiring improvement.
Support the integration of ESG considerations into business planning, decision-making and operational activities.
Conduct research and benchmarking on emerging ESG trends, standards, regulations and industry best practices.
Sustainability Reporting
Coordinate the collection, consolidation and validation of ESG and sustainability performance data from relevant departments and operating sites.
Support the preparation of sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, management reports and other sustainability-related communications.
Ensure reported information is accurate, consistent, traceable and supported by appropriate documentation.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of ESG reporting processes, data management systems and internal controls.
ESG Data & Performance
Work with internal stakeholders to establish reliable ESG data collection and reporting processes.
Analyze environmental, social and governance performance indicators and identify trends, gaps and opportunities.
Support the development of ESG dashboards, performance tracking tools and management insights.
Assist in preparing information required for ESG assessments, ratings, investor engagement and other external stakeholder requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with sustainability, operations, finance, human resources, risk, corporate affairs and other relevant teams.
Engage with operating sites to understand ESG performance, challenges and reporting requirements.
Support communication of ESG performance and sustainability initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
Relevant professional experience in ESG, sustainability, sustainability reporting, corporate responsibility, environmental management or a related field.
Experience supporting ESG strategy development, sustainability reporting or ESG performance management.
Strong understanding of ESG principles and sustainability reporting practices.
Technical Expertise
Knowledge of major sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
Understanding of environmental, social and governance indicators and performance metrics.
Strong research, data analysis and report-writing capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working with ESG databases, reporting platforms or data visualization tools would be advantageous.
