About the Company

Google is a global technology company with a large international Finance organization responsible for financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and strategic decision-making. The Finance team works across Google's global operations and collaborates with business functions to strengthen reporting processes and support regulatory requirements.

The Opportunity

Google is hiring an International Non-Financial Reporting Manager to lead its approach to mandatory ESG and sustainability reporting across international operations.

The role sits at the intersection of ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, finance, data governance, audit, and sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting emerging reporting requirements and translating them into practical reporting processes, controls, and documentation.

The position will work particularly closely with Finance, Legal, Data Centers, Real Estate, Supply Chain, and People Operations teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead interpretation and implementation of mandatory ESG reporting frameworks.
  • Align Google's reporting with CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB/IFRS S1 and S2, and applicable local requirements.
  • Establish standard operating procedures for non-financial data collection and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls over sustainability and non-financial data.
  • Manage relationships with external ESG consultants and auditors.
  • Establish audit trails and documentation standards for ESG reporting.
  • Develop data governance frameworks that support external verification and assurance.
  • Coordinate international and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience managing corporate ESG reporting, sustainability compliance, or non-financial audit.

  • Experience leading cross-functional programs involving international or regional stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

Benefits & Perks

The position offers:

  • €142,000 to €145,000 annual salary in Ireland
  • 20% target bonus
  • Equity
  • Google employee benefits

Why This Role Matters

This is a senior sustainability reporting role with a strong regulatory and assurance component. Rather than focusing solely on sustainability strategy, the position is concerned with turning ESG requirements into controlled, auditable, and repeatable reporting systems across a multinational organisation.

The combination of CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, non-financial controls, data governance, and external assurance makes this particularly relevant to professionals working at the intersection of ESG reporting and corporate sustainability compliance.
