Through its IMPALA patient monitoring platform, GOAL 3 helps healthcare workers detect patient deterioration earlier, reduce monitoring workloads, and improve clinical outcomes.
The organization currently operates across 50+ hospitals and six countries in East Africa. Its technology has been associated with reductions in pediatric and neonatal mortality, alongside significant reductions in the time healthcare workers spend monitoring patients.
The Opportunity
GOAL 3 is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Country Manager, Kenya to establish and grow its presence in Kenya.
The successful candidate will lead commercial growth, strategic partnerships, country operations, and implementation of the IMPALA platform. You will work closely with hospitals, county governments, Kenya's Ministry of Health, distributors, NGOs, implementing partners, and other healthcare stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can combine strategy, business development, stakeholder engagement, operations, and healthcare implementation.
What You'll Do
Commercial Growth & Strategy
- Lead GOAL 3's commercial growth and country operations in Kenya.
- Translate organizational strategy into clear country priorities and execution plans.
- Identify commercial, partnership, and funding opportunities.
- Develop sustainable pathways for hospital and government adoption of IMPALA.
- Monitor country performance and continuously refine Kenya's growth strategy.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with hospitals, county governments, the Ministry of Health, distributors, NGOs, and healthcare organizations.
- Navigate Kenya's healthcare procurement, regulatory, financing, and institutional decision-making environment.
- Represent GOAL 3 at strategic meetings, conferences, technical working groups, and other relevant forums.
Implementation & Customer Success
- Oversee successful implementation of the IMPALA platform across Kenya.
- Coordinate installations, training, technical support, and issue resolution.
- Work with hospital leadership and clinical teams to support long-term adoption.
- Coordinate clinical, technical, service, distributor, and hospital teams.
Operations & Team Leadership
- Establish and strengthen GOAL 3's local systems and operations.
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary Kenya team.
- Coordinate closely with GOAL 3's international clinical, technical, commercial, and operational teams.
- Monitor implementation progress and customer needs.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare management, business, medicine, nursing, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Kenya across healthcare, medical technology, digital health, health systems, or a related sector.
- Strong professional network across hospitals, government, NGOs, or Kenya's private healthcare sector.
- Experience managing partnerships, customers, programmes, or commercial activities.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, projects, or operations.
Technical & Professional Expertise
- Strong commercial and business development capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Understanding of Kenya's healthcare ecosystem.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Swahili language skills are highly desirable.
- Legal authorization to work in Kenya.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Kenya.
Advantageous Experience
Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Medical devices, digital health platforms, or healthcare technology.
- Public-sector procurement, health financing, or government engagement.
- Maternal, newborn, child health, emergency, or critical care.
- Distributor management or customer success.
