The Opportunity

Fervo Energy is seeking a Development Analyst to support its growing geothermal project pipeline. Reporting to a Development Manager, the role combines project coordination, financial and market analysis, contract support, regulatory research, and development of internal tools.

The position is designed for an analytical and organized early-career professional who can work across multiple teams, manage shifting priorities, and turn complex information into clear insights for decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate projects across Fervo’s development pipeline, including partnership-driven developments.
  • Track timelines, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and project risks.
  • Prepare status updates and materials for partner meetings and leadership reviews.
  • Support development transaction structuring, evaluation, and negotiation.
  • Prepare term sheet comparisons, deal summaries, and decision-support materials.
  • Build and maintain financial and commercial models to assess alternative deal structures and risks.
  • Track commercial issues and coordinate inputs across legal, finance, and development teams.
  • Research electricity markets, counterparties, regulatory processes, transmission, and integrated resource planning.
  • Support diligence on new development opportunities and partnerships.
  • Synthesize complex research into clear findings for development teams and senior leadership.
  • Help design and improve internal tools, trackers, and dashboards for managing the development pipeline.
  • Standardize pipeline data, deliverables, milestones, and reporting processes.

Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional or internship experience, with up to three years preferred.
  • Experience with quantitative analysis and financial or data modeling through coursework, internships, or projects.
  • Interest in the electricity sector and power markets.
