The Opportunity

Climate Lead is hiring a Manager, Impact-First Investing (IFI) to help develop and build its impact-first investing capability. The role combines project management, cross-functional content development, investor engagement support, and practice enablement.

Working closely with the Vice President of Impact-First Investing, the Manager will help build the operational infrastructure for the emerging IFI practice while supporting engagements with donors, investors, families, and funders.

The role will work across the Advisory, Global Climate Strategies, Communications, and Operations teams to move investment opportunities forward and turn technical climate and investment insights into useful, investor-ready materials.

What You’ll Do

Cross-Functional Content & IFI Enablement

  • Partner with Global Climate Strategies to extract technical climate solution details, investment theses, and deal insights.
  • Work with Communications to develop investor-facing products, pitch decks, reports, and other materials.
  • Develop and maintain the IFI team's toolkits, frameworks, templates, and knowledge hub.
  • Help relationship managers understand and use available deal memos, financial product resources, and other IFI tools.
  • Capture lessons from donor and investor journeys and turn them into scalable templates, guides, and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, project management, and standardized processes across the Advisory Team.
  • Support onboarding and training on IFI tools and market-facing resources.

Strategic Support & Executive Enablement

  • Manage internal and external relationships supporting the VP of Impact-First Investing.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, briefing materials, donor and investor dossiers, and other strategic documents.
  • Project-manage key prospects, investors, and ambassadors across the IFI portfolio.
  • Track investor deliverables, timelines, action items, and follow-ups to keep complex deals moving.
  • Draft follow-up communications, executive summaries, and strategic pitch materials.
  • Vet and prioritize requests reaching the VP and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Represent the VP in Advisory Team meetings and cross-functional forums when required.
  • Maintain accurate donor and investor records in Salesforce and project management systems.

Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, investing, operations, or knowledge management.
  • Experience in impact investing, fundraising, catalytic finance, or a related field.
  • Experience helping build or scale a climate fund, impact investing platform, or venture practice.
  • Experience designing and implementing operational frameworks, deal tools, and best-practice resources.
  • Strong project management and workflow development capabilities.

Technical Expertise

  • Understanding of climate impact investing, catalytic capital, and private financial products.
  • Familiarity with climate deal sourcing and pipeline evaluation.
  • Ability to translate complex investment structures into accessible communications for investors.
  • Experience developing toolkits, templates, frameworks, and knowledge-management systems.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM is an advantage.
