The Opportunity
Arch is seeking a Sustainability Reporting & Strategy Summer Intern to support environmental, social and governance initiatives and contribute to sustainability reporting, data analysis and employee engagement programs.
The internship offers students hands-on exposure to the insurance industry while working alongside experienced professionals on sustainability-related projects. Interns will participate in learning activities, develop professional skills and receive ongoing feedback throughout the program.
What You'll Do
Sustainability & ESG
Support Arch's environmental, social and governance initiatives and help strengthen sustainability outcomes across the organization.
Research & Benchmarking
Conduct research and benchmarking to identify sustainability best practices, emerging trends, industry standards and regulatory developments related to sustainability reporting.
Data & Reporting
Support sustainability data analysis and greenhouse gas measurement activities, helping the organization better understand and communicate its environmental performance.
Communications & Engagement
Assist with developing materials, resources and communications that increase awareness, education and engagement around sustainability initiatives.
Employee Sustainability Programs
Support Arch's Blue Goes Green sustainability committee with employee-facing initiatives, including campaigns such as Plastic Free July.
Special Projects
Contribute to additional sustainability-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
Applicants should be actively pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in:
- Sustainability Management
- Business
- Economics
- Environmental Science or Policy
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- A related field
Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be current college juniors, seniors or graduate students graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
Technical Expertise
Strongly preferred skills include:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Excel
- Research and data analysis
- Sustainability reporting and measurement

Benefits & Perks
The position offers an hourly rate of $26–$28 for individuals assigned to or hired to work in White Plains, New York. The final rate may depend on factors including geographic location, responsibilities, education and qualifications.
Interns are also eligible for select Arch benefits.
The role follows a hybrid arrangement, with two days onsite and three days working from home each week.
Important: Arch does not provide relocation or housing assistance for this internship.
