Apple is seeking a senior lawyer to join its Corporate Law team and help shape the company’s approach to global sustainability reporting and corporate governance.
The Opportunity
The Senior Corporate Counsel will lead legal work related to sustainability reporting requirements, with a particular focus on the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), IFRS/ISSB Sustainability Disclosure Standards and TCFD-aligned reporting.
The role will also cover emerging requirements including the EU Taxonomy Regulation and U.S. state climate disclosure laws such as California’s SB 253 and SB 261.
What You’ll Do
- Lead legal advice on global sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Develop compliance processes, internal playbooks and practical guidance for new regulations.
- Prepare briefings and actionable advice for senior leadership.
- Advise on materiality assessments, sustainability data programs and assurance readiness.
- Track regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate and manage outside counsel globally.
- Work closely with Finance, Compliance, Values and sustainability teams.
- Identify opportunities to use AI and emerging technologies for regulatory tracking and compliance workflows.
- Translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for business teams.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- 7+ years of corporate law and governance experience.
- 4+ years of sustainability reporting experience at a major law firm, in-house or regulatory authority.
- Hands-on experience with CSRD/ESRS, ISSB Sustainability Disclosure Standards and TCFD-aligned reporting.
- Experience with double materiality assessments and third-party sustainability data assurance.
- JD or equivalent qualification.
- Admission to at least one U.S. state bar.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range is $235,100–$353,400 per year, depending on qualifications, experience and location.
