About All On

All On Partnerships for Energy Access (All On) is an independent impact investing company established by Shell to expand access to affordable and reliable energy in Nigeria, with a particular focus on underserved and unserved off-grid markets in the Niger Delta.

All On provides debt and equity capital to early- and growth-stage businesses operating across solar, wind, hydro, biomass, gas and other off-grid energy solutions. The organization also works with development finance institutions and other partners to build the market through advocacy, research, consumer awareness, capacity building and enabling finance facilities.

The Opportunity

All On is seeking a Communications and Partnerships Manager to lead its Communications and Partnerships department and strengthen relationships across Nigeria's renewable energy, impact investment and social impact ecosystem.

The role combines strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, partnerships, grants oversight and team leadership. The successful candidate will help communicate All On's impact nationally and internationally while supporting organizational strategy and ecosystem development.

What You'll Do

Communications

  • Develop and implement integrated communications and reputation management strategies.
  • Lead high-quality communications materials, platforms and engagement frameworks.
  • Direct executive thought leadership initiatives, including speeches, impact reports, opinion pieces, newsletters, website content and press releases.
  • Advise leadership on positioning, messaging, stakeholder engagement and public affairs.
  • Plan communications campaigns, corporate milestones and high-profile initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with media stakeholders, agencies and other communications partners.
  • Oversee digital communications channels and use audience insights to improve engagement.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop stakeholder engagement strategies across renewable energy, impact investment and social impact networks.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities aligned with All On's objectives.
  • Work with internal teams to align partnerships with budgets, timelines, implementation plans and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate All On's participation in national and international events.
  • Support strategic platforms that encourage collaboration, knowledge exchange and ecosystem development.

Grants & Sponsorships

  • Provide strategic oversight of grant portfolios and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, scalability and impact.
  • Guide grant-making strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage relationships with grantees, implementing partners and ecosystem organizations throughout the grant lifecycle.
  • Ensure grants and sponsored initiatives comply with organizational policies, governance frameworks, risk management standards and donor requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Support organizational planning, strategy development and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Communications, Partnerships and Grants team.
  • Develop and oversee departmental work plans, budgets, KPIs and resource allocation.
  • Foster collaboration, continuous learning and accountability across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Business, Economics, Public Policy or a relevant field.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of professional experience, including progressively senior leadership positions.
  • Strong experience in organizational planning, evaluation, team leadership, organizational development and governance.

Technical & Professional Expertise

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling challenging conversations and communicating complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong executive communications, storytelling and speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and maintain productive relationships with high-value donors and strategic partners.
  • Substantive knowledge of Nigeria's energy access market, including market trends, influential players, frameworks and impact measurement tools.
  • Understanding of investing and capital markets and the interests of different investor types.
