The Opportunity
This role sits at the crossroads of sustainability, data governance, and AI innovation.
You will act as the connective tissue between sustainability teams, data strategists, and digital technology units, ensuring that ESG data is not just reported, but trusted, scalable, and intelligent.

What You’ll Do
Data Strategy & Governance
- Support and evolve GE Vernova’s sustainability data strategy
- Translate reporting requirements into structured data quality frameworks
- Align sustainability metrics with enterprise data standards
- Build scalable governance processes with DT and AI teams
Audit & Metrics Monitoring
- Execute Management Review Checklist (MRC) processes
- Support internal and external audits and assurance activities
- Monitor sustainability KPIs across emissions, energy, water, and waste
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies with stakeholders
AI & Automation Enablement
- Support AI-driven reporting and analytics initiatives
- Build and test automation tools using Python, Power BI, and workflow platforms
- Coordinate between sustainability, AI, and tech teams
- Drive efficiency through intelligent automation
Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of ESG datasets
- Support quarterly reporting, board-level insights, and regulatory disclosures
- Validate sustainability metrics and improve reporting workflows
- Contribute to both voluntary and mandatory ESG reporting
Project Management & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct data gap assessments and lead remediation efforts
- Track milestones, timelines, and reporting deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement across sustainability data systems
Policy & Standards Development
- Develop and maintain SOPs for ESG data processes
- Align reporting with CSRD, ESRS, and GHG Protocol
- Standardize practices across business units
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience, or Master’s + 3 years experience
- Background in sustainability, data analytics, engineering, or related field
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools
Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks: GHG Protocol, CSRD, ESRS, SEC, EU Taxonomy
- Experience evaluating ESG data quality and disclosures
