About the JustRE Alliance

The JustRE Alliance is a global network of organizations working to advance socially inclusive and community-centered renewable energy transitions.

The Alliance focuses primarily on the Global South, where renewable energy expansion creates both opportunities and challenges for local communities.

Its work recognizes that an energy transition is not simply about replacing fossil fuels with renewable technologies. It is also about ensuring that communities participate in decision-making, benefit from development opportunities, and remain at the center of the transition process.

This is where renewable energy meets social justice.

The Opportunity

The JustRE Alliance is developing its first three-year organizational strategy and is seeking a Strategy & Research Analyst to help shape that vision.

You will work at the intersection of renewable energy, policy, research, community development, and social performance, helping the Alliance identify where it can create the greatest impact.

This role combines strategic planning with evidence-based research to strengthen renewable energy transitions across the Global South.

Why This Role Matters

The transition to renewable energy will only succeed if it works for the people most affected by it.

Communities cannot be treated as passive beneficiaries of energy projects. They must be active participants in shaping them.

This role contributes to building an energy transition model that prioritizes inclusion, participation, and equitable development.

You will help define how renewable energy can create both environmental and social value across the Global South.
