About the Company

Evergreen Energy Partners operates in a very specific (and powerful) niche:

They don’t generate energy.
They reduce how much energy is needed in the first place.

That means: Lower emissions
Lower costs
Immediate impact

And they do it through utility-funded programs, which are one of the most stable and scalable climate solutions in the U.S.

What This Role Really Is

This is not technical climate science.
This is not policy design.

This is:

Execution at scale inside regulated energy systems.

You are essentially running a portfolio of energy efficiency businesses, each tied to utility contracts.

What You’ll Do

Program Leadership

Oversee multiple utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs
Ensure performance targets, budgets, and KPIs are met

Client Management

Act as the main point of contact for utility clients
Maintain strong, trust-based relationships

Team Leadership

Lead and develop Program Managers and teams
Drive performance, accountability, and growth

Operations & Delivery

Manage:

  • Budgets & forecasts
  • Staffing & resources
  • Reporting & compliance
  • Quality assurance

Performance Optimization

Identify inefficiencies
Improve processes
Scale what works

Business Development

Support proposals, new contracts, and growth opportunities

What You Need

Core Experience

8+ years in energy efficiency programs
Experience with utility-sponsored programs (critical)

Industry Knowledge

Understanding of:

  • Utility program structures
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Customer engagement models

Leadership Skills

Team management and mentorship
Client relationship management
Decision-making under pressure

Operational Strength

Budgeting, forecasting, reporting
Managing multiple programs simultaneously

Reality Check

This role is:

High responsibility
Client-facing
Operations-heavy

You are accountable for: Performance
Revenue
Client satisfaction

This is closer to consulting + operations leadership than sustainability advocacy.

Why This Role Matters

Energy efficiency is often overlooked.

But it is:

The fastest way to reduce emissions
The cheapest climate solution
The easiest to scale through utilities

This role directly impacts real-world emissions reductions today, not in theory.
