About Panasonic Energy

Panasonic Energy is a core player in the global transition to electrification, particularly through lithium-ion battery production for electric vehicles and energy storage.

This is not just sustainability on paper.
This is sustainability embedded in industrial-scale production.

The Opportunity

This role operates at the intersection of:

Manufacturing
ESG compliance
Energy transition

You are not observing sustainability trends.
You are implementing them inside one of the most critical industries of the decade.

What You’ll Do

ESG Program Leadership

Lead sustainability initiatives across operations and global stakeholders
Drive implementation of ESG programs across sites and functions

Environmental & Compliance Systems

Manage frameworks such as:
ISO 14001 (environmental management)
ISO 45001 (health and safety)
Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards

Decarbonization & Energy Strategy

Support greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction initiatives
Advance renewable energy adoption within operations

Supply Chain & Responsible Sourcing

Work with suppliers and partners to ensure ESG compliance
Support audit readiness and continuous improvement across the value chain

Cross-Functional Execution

Collaborate with:
Engineering
Operations
Procurement
Global headquarters (including Japan)

This is a matrix environment where influence matters more than authority

What They’re Looking For

A sustainability operator who understands industry, not just theory.

Core signals:

Experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management
Strong project management capability
Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments
Ability to work across global teams and stakeholders

What Makes This Role Interesting

Battery manufacturing is ground zero for the energy transition.

You are dealing with:

High energy consumption
Complex supply chains
Regulatory pressure
Customer scrutiny

And yet, demand is exploding.

This role asks a hard question:
Can we scale clean energy without scaling environmental impact?

Why This Role Matters

Electric vehicles do not solve climate change by default.
Their supply chains decide that.

This role influences:

How batteries are produced
How emissions are reduced
How sustainability is verified

Which means it sits directly inside the future of energy.
