The Opportunity

As an Investment Analyst, you will sit at the core of deal-making and portfolio management, evaluating early-stage ventures through both financial and impact lenses. You will help identify high-potential companies, conduct rigorous due diligence, and shape investment decisions that directly influence livelihoods across West Africa.

What You’ll Do
Deal Sourcing & Market Intelligence
Identify and evaluate investment opportunities addressing critical needs for underserved populations
Conduct market research to uncover trends, sectors, and emerging business models
Build relationships to strengthen deal flow pipelines across the region
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessments
Analyze company performance, growth potential, and operational dynamics
Evaluate both financial returns and social impact potential
Synthesize insights into clear investment recommendations
Investment Execution
Prepare and present investment memos to the Investment Committee
Support transaction structuring aligned with risk and return considerations
Collaborate with legal teams to finalize and close deals
Portfolio & Impact Management
Support performance tracking, data collection, and portfolio analysis
Assist in impact assessments in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Monitor portfolio companies and contribute to operational insights
Ecosystem & Strategic Support
Build and nurture relationships within the impact investing ecosystem
Support fundraising, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
Contribute to thought leadership, reports, and external communications
Requirements
Core Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of investment or underwriting experience
Authorization to work in Nigeria
Technical Capabilities
Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling
Ability to analyze historical performance and forecast future scenarios
Experience conducting due diligence on private companies
Familiarity with early-stage businesses and entrepreneurship ecosystems
