What GM Is Looking For
This is not simply a compliance position. GM is looking for a strategic leader who can turn responsible sourcing principles into operational behavior across a complex global supply base.
The ideal candidate combines subject-matter depth with executive communication, supplier engagement, analytical thinking and people leadership. They must also be comfortable having difficult conversations with suppliers and internal stakeholders when standards are not being met.
Work Arrangement
The position is hybrid, with the selected candidate expected to report to the designated location at least three times per week or according to the frequency established by their manager.
The position requires less than 25% travel and may be eligible for relocation benefits.
GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1 or other forms of immigration support.
Why This Role Matters
Responsible sourcing is becoming a strategic business issue rather than a narrow procurement function. Regulations covering human rights, deforestation, supply-chain transparency, emissions and corporate due diligence are increasingly forcing companies to understand what happens several tiers upstream in their supply chains.
This role gives its leader significant responsibility for turning those expectations into supplier standards, risk controls, traceability systems, remediation programs and measurable ESG performance across GM's global supply base.
