About the Role:

This role sits at the intersection of research, data, and product.

As a Research Analyst within the Power & Renewables group, you will contribute to cutting-edge work on large electricity loads such as data centres, advanced manufacturing, and electrification systems.

In this role, you will:

Develop subject matter expertise in data centre technology, energy supply, policy, and deployment.

Support the design and development of AI-enabled data tools and workflows.

Identify, evaluate, and validate new data sources for research and product development.

Conduct research on policy, regulatory developments, and market trends related to large energy loads.

Deliver high-quality reports and client insights, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

Collaborate closely with research, product, and data teams to align outputs with client needs.

Support client engagement, including retention and acquisition efforts.

Contribute to consulting projects and broader research initiatives.

Travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and internal collaboration.


About You:

You are structured in thinking, but flexible in execution.

You can navigate data, policy, and technology without losing clarity.

To succeed in this role, you:

Have 3+ years of experience in the power sector or a related industry.

Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, energy, economics, finance, or policy.

Understand the financial, technological, and regulatory dynamics of large energy loads.

Have strong research skills, including the ability to evaluate and synthesize large datasets.

Are experienced in project management and cross-team collaboration.

Communicate clearly and produce high-quality written reports and visual insights.

Can leverage AI tools effectively while maintaining analytical accuracy.

Are self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in dynamic environments.


Nice to Have:

Experience in data centres or power generation development.

Background as a research analyst with published work.

Technical skills in Python, databases, or AI tool development.

Salary
$90,000 – $100,000 base salary (excluding bonuses and incentives)
