The Responsible Business team works at the intersection of data, policy, and corporate accountability, collaborating with businesses, investors, legal experts, and civil society to assess how corporate decisions impact people and livelihoods.
Core focus areas include:
Labour rights and workforce transparency
Responsible adoption of AI technologies
The transition to a sustainable and low-carbon economy
Key initiatives include the Workforce Disclosure Initiative (WDI) and the AI Company Data Initiative (AICDI), developed in partnership with UNESCO to support ethical AI adoption.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Sustainability Data Analyst, you will:
Clean, prepare, and analyse corporate disclosure data using Excel, including pivot tables, filters, and formulas.
Support thematic research, scoring methodologies, and investor-facing insights.
Draft reports, research briefings, and insight pieces, translating data into clear narratives.
Track ESG trends, market developments, and emerging risks.
Support survey design and refinement for better data usability.
Engage with companies and investors to explain methodologies and insights.
Respond to internal data queries and support cross-team collaboration.
Work from office three days per week (mandatory).
Operate within 11 AM IST to 8 PM IST with flexibility.
About You:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analysis.
Strong Excel skills including data manipulation and visualization.
Understanding of financial markets is an advantage.
Ability to derive insights from structured datasets.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as UNGPs, GRI, ISSB, and UNESCO AI Ethics.
Awareness of ESG, AI governance, and workforce trends.
Willingness to learn tools like Python or Power BI.
Strong collaboration and attention to detail.
Ability to identify inconsistencies in data is a plus.
