JOB DESCRIPTION
ECOS is seeking an enthusiastic Communications Officer to support and strengthen its public communications, with a strong focus on circular economy, nature protection and restoration, and environmental standardisation.
This role is about turning technical environmental policy into compelling, accessible narratives that drive real-world impact. You will play a key role in expanding ECOS’ voice and influence across digital and traditional platforms.

Support and implement communications strategies aligned with ECOS’ mission and policy priorities
Create and edit content including reports, blogs, and opinion pieces
Translate complex technical topics into clear, engaging messaging
Manage and improve digital channels and communication tactics
Ensure quality control, editing, and design of publications
Coordinate the ECOS monthly newsletter
Support multi-stakeholder communication activities and partnerships
Assist in organising events, both physical and virtual
Contribute to communications across ECOS-led initiatives
Requirements
1 to 3 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably within an NGO
Proven ability to implement effective communications strategies
Experience managing projects and timelines
Strong stakeholder coordination skills
Excellent written and spoken English with strong editing ability
Ability to simplify technical information into engaging content
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and within diverse teams
Strong time and project management skills
Commitment to ECOS mission and values
Preferred
Experience in events management
Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, Google Ads, WordPress, and CMS
Experience working in multicultural environments
What You Can Expect
Monthly salary between €3,279 and €3,910
Six month contract with potential extension based on performance and funding
