About the Role:
This is a high-accountability ESG governance position sitting at Group level.
You are not just reporting ESG performance.
You are designing, controlling, and defending it across subsidiaries, regulators, auditors, and the Board.
Think of this role as the control tower of ESG credibility.
What You’ll Do:
ESG Governance & Compliance Leadership
- Advise Board and senior leadership on ESG obligations
- Ensure alignment with ESG strategy and regulatory requirements
- Embed ESG compliance culture across the Group
Reporting & Disclosure
- Develop ESG reporting templates and dashboards
- Track ESG KPIs aligned to board-approved strategy
- Produce annual sustainability and compliance reports
- Oversee ESG statutory reporting documentation
Data & Systems Control
- Maintain corporate ESG databases
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness of ESG data
- Strengthen internal ESG data governance systems
Audit & Regulatory Engagement
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Engage regulators and governance bodies
- Ensure compliance with global ESG frameworks and standards
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor ESG professionals
- Build capability across ESG reporting and compliance functions
- Drive performance across multi-stakeholder ESG projects
Who They’re Looking For:
- 7+ years experience in ESG, compliance, governance, or reporting roles
- Background in:
- Law
- Environmental Studies
- Business Administration
- or related disciplines
- Strong ESG reporting framework knowledge (global standards)
- Experience in corporate or PLC environments
- Strong stakeholder management (Board-level exposure is key)
- Ability to manage complex, high-pressure reporting cycles
- ESG certification is an advantage
