About the Role:
West Africa Blue is hiring a Blue Economy Project Officer to support initiatives at the intersection of marine conservation, sustainability, and economic development.
This role sits right where policy meets action. Not theory. Not vibes. Execution.
What You’ll Do:
Support implementation of blue economy and marine sustainability projects
Engage with local stakeholders and communities
Contribute to research, reporting, and project coordination
Help drive conservation strategies that balance environment and livelihoods
Track project performance and impact
Key Focus Areas:
Marine ecosystems and biodiversity
Sustainable coastal development
Community-driven environmental solutions
Project coordination and impact tracking
Who They’re Looking For:
Background in environmental science, marine studies, or sustainability
Experience in project management or fieldwork is a strong advantage
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to operate in dynamic, real-world conditions
