About the Role:
Recourse is hiring an Advisor based in Africa to support its work on just energy transition advocacy and climate finance reform.
This role operates at the intersection of policy research, international finance, and climate justice, focusing on how global financial systems influence energy transition outcomes in the Global South.
You will contribute to high-level advocacy efforts targeting international financial institutions and development finance systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Support research on development finance and international financial institutions
- Contribute to advocacy strategies on just energy transitions
- Engage with global partners and policy stakeholders
- Produce policy briefs, campaign materials, and strategic analysis
- Support coalition-building across regions and organizations
- Participate in campaigns influencing global climate finance systems

- International financial institutions (IFIs)
- Global South climate advocacy
- Coalition-building and stakeholder engagement
Who They’re Looking For:
- Experience in advocacy, policy, or climate-related work
- Strong understanding of development finance systems
- Background in environmental, social, or climate justice issues
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in remote international teams
- Experience engaging with civil society or policy networks
